    I really wanted to love this place since I had heard so much hype about it, but I couldn't. The staff was so sweet and friendly, and the fried chicken was good, but those are the best things I can say. My mom and I ate here, and we both found the food bland and tasteless (outside of the fried chicken). Vegetables tasted canned, not homemade. Little to no seasoning in anything. Either we came on a bad day, or this is how it usually is...not really sure. Others have commented that the place needs a cosmetic update...I disagree. I liked the old-fashioned mom & pop feel of the place, but whoever is in charge of the kitchen definitely needs a lesson in seasoning food. Would probably not return, but *might* order some fried chicken to go.

    Took our mother out to eat at Homestead today. The food bar was stocked and the food was good. However, I ordered a club and fries and my mother and sister had eaten their meals and our tea was refilled 2 times before my food came out. So much for eating our Mother's Day meal together.

    Good home style cooking!!! The buffet was cheap and had plenty of food to choose from. I even went back the following night

    I love family owned small town places and this is my favorite , great home cooking, especially the fried chicken.Great service,friendly atmosphere.

    Good food,good staff,cozy environment, a little pricey for what was served. Enjoyed the company.
